Administrative Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Administrative Assistant for our Lancaster, PA area client. This is a FT (Mon - Fri from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) temp-to-hire position with a starting pay of $15+/hr DOE. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts research, and compiles and types reports.
  • Composes and types routine correspondence
  • Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials
  • Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes
  • Assists with related special projects, as required
  • Serves as backup receptionist
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed
  • Follows all company policies, procedures and safety rules
  • Conducts self at all times in a professional, ethical and courteous manner as a representative of company

Education and/or Experience:                                              

  • One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills:                                            

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers and other employees of the organization

Mathematical Skills:                                                  

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

Reasoning Ability                                                     

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

 

Computer Skills                                            

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:

Accounting software (preferred but not required)

Database software

Internet software

Spreadsheet and Word Processing software
